We do not use advertising cookies and do not share or sell your usage data with any third party.

4. Storage Location And Transfer Of Personal Information

Paqt processes and stores its data, including Personal Information, on Amazon Web Servers located in Canada, California, the United States and Europe. Paqt also transfers data to the third-party service providers (our “Sub-Processors”):

  • Amazon AWS – USA – Cloud infrastructure for our apps and services
  • Stripe – USA – Customer payments
  • Survey Monkey – USA – Customer feedback
  • Google – USA – Site analytics and customer interactions
  • TipTap – Germany – Document editor
  • Zapier – USA – Third party integrations

By submitting personal information or otherwise using the Services, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing of your personal information in the jurisdictions in which our Sub-Processors are located. You acknowledge and agree that your personal information may be accessible to law enforcement and governmental agencies in such jurisdictions under lawful access regimes or court order.

5. When Do We Disclose Your Information?

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.

We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide as described in this Privacy Policy:

  • To Our Affiliates. As permitted by applicable law and as contractually agreed between us, we may share your personal information with our affiliated entities.
  • To Contractors, Service Providers, and Other Third Parties. Only to the extent we use these to support our business and with those who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them and consistent with this Privacy Policy.

You may also send us an email to our Privacy Officer to request access to, correct or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect. Information exchanged with other users on our Services may require the consent of those users to obtain access, correct or delete that personal information.

If you delete your User Content from our Services, copies of your User Content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or might have been copied or stored by other users of our Services.

8. Retention

We will keep your personal information for as long as it remains necessary for the identified purposes set out in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service or as required by law, which may extend beyond the termination of our relationship with you. When an Account becomes inactive for an extended period of time, we will delete the Account and related data with prior advance notice to the Account holder.

Our customers may use the Services to store records of their clients, including personal information, in accordance with their own retention policies.

We may retain certain data as necessary to prevent fraud or abuse, or for legitimate business purposes, such as analysis of aggregated, non-personally-identifiable data, account recovery, or if required by law. All retained personal information will remain subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

The Website is not intended for children under 18 years of age. No one under age 18 may provide any personal information to or on the Website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. 10. Your GDPR Rights

Your rights as a data subject

You, as a data subject, have options available to you to change how your personal information is being processed. You can:

  • Request access to your information we process
  • Withdraw your consent if our use of your information is based on consent
  • Request that your information be deleted or for you to be forgotten (right to erasure)
  • Request that we correct or change your information. As a user you may also do this by logging in to your account.
  • Limit, restrict or object to our use of your information
  • Access your information and/or receive it in a machine-readable form 
  • Subject to applicable law lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Please note that if you request to remove your information, we may retain some of the information for specific reasons, such as to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, and as required by law. Furthermore, some information is never completely removed from our databases due to technical constraints and the fact that we regularly back up our systems. Therefore, not all of your personal information will ever be completely removed from our databases.

11. Your California Privacy Rights

You have rights governing how your information is being processed, including:

  • The specific personal information right to request a copy of the specific personal information collected about you during the past 12 months; and
  • The right to non-discrimination in how we provide the Services to you when you exercise any of your rights under the CCPA.

Submitting a personal information or erasure request

You may ask us to disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. Once we receive and confirm your identity as a user of our Services, we can disclose that information to you. You may also make a request to have that information erased or deleted.

You may make these requests by emailing our Privacy Officer or you may call us at 1-800-xxx-xxxx, during regular business hours in California. If no one picks up, we are probably busy with another user, so please leave a message with your name, query and contact number for us to return your call.

You can make a request for your information twice every 12 months. If you are making an erasure request, it will help us if you include details of the information you would like erased. We may need to ask you for additional information to fully identify you. If we can't identify you, we may not be able to erase your information.

Please note that we do not sell your information. If you request that we remove your information, we may retain some of the information for specific reasons, such as to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, and as required by law. Furthermore, some information is never completely removed from our databases due to technical constraints and the fact that we regularly back up our systems. Therefore, not all of your personal information will ever be completely removed from our databases.

We will respond to you regarding these requests as quickly as is practicable but it may take us up to 45 days. If we need more time to action your request, we will notify you in that event.

12. Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. An example, some of these measures include:

  • We use encryption for data at storage;
  • We limit our own access to your personal information by ensuring that only authorized persons have access and such access requires a secure password. Only employees who "need to know" in order to fulfill their job requirements have access to your personal information; and
  • We train our employees to keep clients' personal information private and confidential.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Services, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.
